Research Chamber - for Determining Formaldehyde Emission by Gas Analysis Method

The Research and Development Center for the Wood-Based Panel Industry in Czarna Woda manufactures research chambers for determining formaldehyde emission by the gas analysis method according to the standards:

  • EN 717-2:1995 (former DIN 52368),
  • PN-F-06106-3:1994.

The research chamber offered by the RDC-WBPI meets all the requirements of the PN-EN ISO 12460-3 standard. The technical solutions applied are among the most modern currently used worldwide.

The operation of the chamber is fully automated. The chamber does not require any supervision during operation. It incorporates modern and user-friendly software solutions and controls with high durability and reliability. The research chamber is intended for performing routine analyses and assessing the hygiene of materials used mainly in the furniture industry, such as: laminated and veneered chipboards, ordinary and enhanced plywood, varnished and veneered fiberboards, artificial veneers, coatings produced during furniture finishing, etc. The dimensions of a single sample for testing are: 400 mm x 50 mm x sample thickness. Each of the samples is individually marked. The Research Chamber is an essential element of conducting systematic control of formaldehyde emissions in accordance with the "Guideline on the classification of wood-based panels and control of formaldehyde emissions" in the version of June 1994, the so-called "DIBt-100 Guideline, issued by the German Institute for Building Technology in Berlin," which applies to entities that have signed a control and supervision agreement with the Western European institute and, consequently, have the rights to use the mark indicating compliance with the E1 emission class requirements. The offered research chamber can be viewed at our Center. The execution time and delivery conditions - to be agreed upon.
